The "2005 Euro-Malaysia ICT Cooperation Event" (or "EuroMalaysia2005") is an event organised at the initiative of the European Commission (DG Information Society) and of MIMOS Berhad.

It is open to all European and Malaysian organisations (universities, SMEs, large companies, etc.) interested in the development of scientific and technological cooperation projects in the ICT field, and in the perspectives offered by the IST Programme.

One of the major expected outputs of EuroMalaysia2005 is a stronger participation of Malaysian organisations in future Calls for proposals of the IST Programme and, consequently, a stronger representation of Malaysian organisations in projects, developed in partnership with European organisations, and funded by the IST Programme.

This is why the event programme is geared towards the orientation of "networking" and "match-making" rather than "conference" and "workshop" based. Organisations intending to participate are also assisted through a "search for partners" service and a "Help Desk".
